Large Linen Produce Bag

Large Linen Produce Bag

Every linen bag is handmade in Dumfries & Galloway by Vikki, Esme and Katie at Zero Waste Space.

Each bag is made from scrap linen sourced from the area’s renowned mills. Although surplus and technically wastage, the linen used is new and of excellent quality.

What to expect…

At first the starch of the new linen makes the bags quite stiff, but they will become soft with washing and with use. Very strong and sturdy, with double drawcord on each bag. All natural colours, but colour may vary slightly depending on the linen available from the mill.
Approx Size (handmade not factory made means this may vary slightly): 30cm x 47cm (8lt capacity)

Made to Last…

Machine washable at 40ºC, line dry.

Plastic Produce Bags - Plastic bags start out as fossil fuels and end up as deadly waste in landfills and the ocean. Birds often mistake shredded plastic bags for food, filling their stomachs with toxic debris. For hungry sea turtles, it's nearly impossible to distinguish between jellyfish and floating plastic shopping bags. Fish eat thousands of tons of plastic a year, transferring it up the food chain to bigger fish and marine mammals and us.

Plastic produce bags are used for an average of 12 minutes but take 500+ years to degrade.
